Personal note from the author:
Thank you for your interest in Miracles from Israel: Biblical Promises Fulfilled.
The idea for this book began in 2011, when I was fortunate enough to relocate to the Land of Israel. While living in Israel these past 10 years, I have humbly witnessed the miraculous fulfillment of God’s promises coming true before my own eyes.
These promises are all written in the Bible. All you need to do is read it to see it: the survival of the Jewish people, their ingathering from the four corners of the world, the revival of the Jewish nation on its intended Land, and the manifestations of blessings and prosperity. These prophecies have come true against all odds. That’s because odds are a statistical method used to understand the natural world, while Israel—with its miraculous victories in wars, rapid transformation in making its desert bloom, development of breakthrough medical treatments, and innovating the technology of tomorrow—is governed by a much higher power, unlimited by nature.
The frequency of miraculous events that I have witnessed in Israel—from the small, everyday miracles to the larger, newsworthy ones—no longer surprises me. In fact, dare I even say that living in Israel and witnessing the miraculous on a regular basis has desensitized me and my fellow Israelis to these extraordinary events? Or maybe we have come to appreciate that the “natural order” of the Land of Israel is created by miracles. As succinctly put by the first Israeli prime minister, the famously secular David Ben-Gurion: “In Israel, in order to be a realist you must believe in miracles.”
The extraordinary blessings and achievements of this small country are so natural and ingrained in the Israeli psyche, that they feel so normal and routine. However, it is clear we are living in a time in which God is truly with us.
In this book, I present a compilation of Biblical texts, historical records, news sources, and inspirational anecdotes in order to establish that the promises that God made about the Land of Israel are coming true before our own eyes. God has blessed the resurrection of the national homeland of the Jewish people, Israel, just as He promised He would: “I will return the captivity of my people Israel, and they will rebuild desolate cities and settle them” (Amos 9:14).
I hope you enjoy the book and feel free to let me know what you think!
Warm wishes from Jerusalem,
Cynthia Hannah
